About Us
Our programs reflect the values, cultures, and beliefs of the families and communities we serve. VICPA and all VICPA preschools are non-profit organizations that focus on learning through play, family involvement, and community connection.
VICPA is led by a Board of Directors made up of experienced Early Childhood Educators (ECEs). The Board provides guidance and support to help our member preschools offer high-quality, cooperative early learning across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.
Our Engagement Director, Tori Escallier, is inspired by the joyful play and community spirit found in every cooperative preschool. A VICPA preschool alum parent, Tori discovered her passion for family engagement and early learning through hands-on experience in the co-op model.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Community Services (Public Health) from the University of Victoria. She brings over 20 years of experience supporting children, families, and educators in community and non-profit settings.
At VICPA, Tori strengthens connections across our member preschools by building systems, events, and resources that support collaboration, learning, and shared leadership—helping families and educators thrive together.
