The Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association supports 15 parent participation preschools on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. These member preschools are the Vancouver Island Cooperative Preschool Association (VICPA).

VICPA has been in existence since 1949. It has been an advocate for high quality early
childhood education for children and professional standards for adults who work with
them.

VICPA is affiliated with Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI).

VICPA preschools meet or exceed provincial government licensing and safety standards. They benefit from being a part of the history, reputation, and network of the association.

As a member of VICPA, families are entitled to a discounted registration fee at the Making Tomorrow Conference organized by the association. The conference is for parents and educators of young children, and is a positive community event held annually the first Saturday in May at the University of Victoria.

VICPA is a society incorporated under the laws of British Columbia and is run by a volunteer board of directors. Our BN/Registration Number is 13091 5341.
